Abhyangwari with Mahesh Kale
Setup sound system for a 1000 person event in Plainsboro

I'm a singer, keyboardist, and entertainer first—not typically someone who does sound setups for other singers. My one condition for taking on sound duties? The artist has to be a better singer than me. I think Mahesh Kale definitely qualifies. LOL.
So when Marathi Vishwa approached me to handle the sound system setup for Mahesh Kale’s Abhyangwari concert in New Jersey, I was pretty excited—until I saw the rider. That excitement quickly turned into stress:
1,000 attendees
14 microphones
15 speakers (FOH, side fills, back fills, front fills, subs, stage monitors)
6 in-ear monitors
Still, the opportunity was too good to pass up, and I accepted the contract.
With lots of advance prep and long, detailed conversations with their amazing sound engineer, Mandar Wadkar, everything was ready to go on the 17th. The event ran flawlessly—not a single complaint about sound levels from anyone in the packed 1,000-seat auditorium.
Mahesh Kale’s singing was absolutely mesmerizing, and the crowd’s energy was electric. But as an audio engineer, I was just as captivated by the subtle, masterful fine-tuning done by their sound engineer, Mandar Wadkar. His attention to detail truly elevated the entire experience.
